On Friday morning a small publicity ceremony took place at our new building. The President of the Methodist Conference, Rev Richard Teal, Mrs Sue Teal, Acting Superintendent of the Driffield-Hornsea Methodist Circuit Rev Ron Hicks, Rev Diane Hicks, Supernumerary Minister Rev Doreen Hare, Church members Richard and Lesley Mole, Ann Bradshaw, Malcolm Craggs, David and Joy Richards, Mike Oxtoby and Ross Weekes, the Church's Quantity Surveyor Mr Richard Hildrick and Hobson and Porter's Contract Manager Mark Tomlinson and Quantity Surveyor Mr Simon English, were present to formerly hand possession of the building to Driffield Methodist Church.
The members listed above, and numerous other people, some, sadly, no longer with us in this world, can be rightly proud of what has been achieved over some 10 years of planning, fundraising and sheer hard work.
Now the work changes to use this building to bring the love of God to our town and show them that Christ's Gospel is something to which they can respond for the good of the whole world.
